5 Spice Asian Black Beans
A deliciously fresh twist on black beans. This Asian inspired super quick lunch or dinner dish involving the nutrient rich black bean is perfect with a nice bowl of jasmine rice and loads of greens.
Ingredients:
1 x tin of black beans
1-2 tsp Chinese 5 spice blend
1 clove of garlic crushed
1/2 onion diced
A big handful of corriander
Steamed jasmine or brown rice
Steamed green vegetables of choice

Instructions:
Mash 1/2 of the black beans including their juice
To a pan with a little oil add the garlic and onion and sauté for a few minutes
Add the 5 spice blend
Add the whole beans and the mashed with juice to the pan
Bring all ingredients together, if it is a little dry add a dash of water
Season with a little salt and pepper
Serve with rice, a big handful of chopped corriander, extra child if you wish and loads of steamed greens or a salad
